Seems like a fair amount of people have decided this game is more important than one lousy day of work. For those who haven’t, let me break it down. I worked in the cubes, once upon a time. I spent all day reading Barstool. I wasn’t fired. They simply don’t care enough about you to fire you. Yes, it’s awkward to call out sick, and yes, they’ll probably know you’re not sick. But there’s not shit they can do about it. You are given sick days for a reason. Use them. Tomorrow is one of those days you say “fuck it, I’m calling out.” I think as the kids say, you have to YOLO. When you look back in 5 years, are you going to want to remember being on a conference call with fat Nancy in accounting, or at a bar going ape shit? Just think about that. Unless you’re a doctor or brain surgeon or astronaut, you need to be at ATown, Declans, Hurricane O’Reillys, or Smitty’s tomorrow.
